Moe Joes in Plainfield

Was there for an hour. 1/2 hour to receive our beverages (never got the ice water). 20 minutes longer for the appetizer. Left 10 minutes later after never even receiving a plate for the appetizer. Servers were no where to be found. Never got to order entrees. Put cash on the table and left! The place next door had to have 8 servers working hard and no one complaining.

We love this place! We go for date night on Wednesdays, $1 cold PBR's on tap can't be beat! Fun, Hopping place!( no vegan options though 😔)

I admire this venue a lot. It has a romantic air. The meals are great. the service is powerful and the crew is polite. The pay is fair. extremely recommend.

Excellent cajun fare - muffuletta, gumbo and seafood jambalaya all top notch. Can be pricey if drinks are flowing, but worth it for the quality.

They offer a large variety of delicious food. I liked eating here. Staff members are always nice, prices are reasonable and the spot is always clean.

Great atmosphere and great food. We sat in the basement (which I didn't even know they had). There was a fireplace and all the food our group of 5 had was really good. One of our favs downtown

Great food and great service as always! I tried the frog legs for the first time today and they were delicious!My only critique on mo Joe's is that I wish they would get some new menus. The picture and writing is all worn off; but hey, that doesnt take away from the quality of the food!

Food is amazing! Service was great. Family friendly. Unique and tasty drink menu. Not only was the food delicious, it is homemade! We don't eat out much. I prefer my family eat real food, not processed junk. I was happy to find a restaurant that prides itself on making its menu items from scratch. Highly recommend.

This site is my number one place. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this place. everytime I want to go to a proper lunch, this is the place that comes straightaway to my head. superb and many types of food and a rich cuisine.well mannered crew, and great vibes. Not less important, the pay is affordable. I praise this place with pleasure.

Loved this and our waitress was beyond amazing. They made my birthday phenomenal. I had the jerk chicken and loved it. My hubby and MIL had burgers were good. My cousin liked the salad but she is not a fan of creole/cajun food she only came to celebrate. I loved this place so much. Could talk to our waitress forever!!

ordered thru Uber Eats for Mother's Day. Delivery scheduled between 6:30-7pm. At 7pm I received notification that the restaurant didn't accept my order. This is totally unacceptable, leaving us without dinner!!!!!!!!! I will NEVER give this place my business AGAIN!Update: Received word from Uber Eats that the restaurant cancelled my order due the restaurant being too busy. I put my order in at 11am. My place was in line far ahead of them getting busy!

We ordered Moe Joe's during the restaurant shutdown. In addition to a lot of good food we also received a roll of toilet paper.

Great place to party on weekends. Food is great all around. Bar tenders are hot. The staff is attentive. It's a regular spot I go to when I'm in the area.

Service was very friendly, offered meal suggestions, and answered all questions. The chicken Creole and fried alligator tail was delicious!! Atmosphere was amazing. Here for work assignment and would definitely eat there again.

We used to love this place but it seems to have gone down in quality and service. The front desk has forgotten to seat us several times after waiting. In two different occasions our bill was mixed up with the table next to ours. The last several times we didn’t even get the right food we ordered. The food has also really gone down hill. Seems to have less spice and flavor than it used to. 2 stars because it used to be so good.

Terrific food and amazing service!! Everyone here is always so friendly and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. You have to try the beignets too!!!

Food was good and the waitress was really nice. There was a group of us and she couldn't keep up but that's not her fault, management should have sent a second waitress. Downfall was it was so loud in there you couldn't even talk to the person beside you.

Fantastic food! I drove 35 minutes to eat here and it was worth every minute. The food was fresh, and full of flavor. I ordered the crawfish etouffee and my boyfriend ordered the seafood jambalaya and everything was delicious. The drinks from the bar were on point too! Strong, but not overpowering with the alcohol. Our waitress was wonderful and very pleasant. We will be visiting Moe Joe's again soon.

Might go back for raw oysters but wasn't very thrilled with the place. The gumbo was just okay. Crawfish etouffee was just okay. Way too much rice in both of them. Husband had an oyster poor boy and the oysters had no flavor. The bread pudding desert wash unbelievably good. I would go back just for that.

Food was phenomenal as always! Our waitress (angela) was so sweet, offered great recommendations, and made our dining experience fun! Will be back for sure!

The food was amazing but very pricey.

Been to this local watering hole a few times and have always had great service and drinks. We went right when bars started to reopen with DA Covid. Tried an appetizer that was some sort of cheese (totally forgot the name). For drinks we went with a long Island which was above average along with margarita. Our waiter was Kayla was fantastic and friendly. Inside atmosphere is very southern comfort looking. If your looking for a relaxing place for a drink or two, look no further. Enjoy and cheers!!

Such good food. Large variety of cajun style and seafood dishes. I cant speak to how authentic it is but I can say that it is delicious. I've tried many items from Moe Joe's and can highly recommend the frog legs and the gator burger. Dont be afraid to try anything from this place because you wont be disappointed. Make sure you have enough time to eat here as it's a dinner experience not fast food

Very expensive, we will not be going back any time soon, if ever..... so many more places to go with much better cajun food... like Cajun Connection. It might be a drive but fantastic food at 1/2 the price....

Always a good time, Great Service and Food

This is one of the best restaurants in Plainfield without a doubt. I used to go here slot more when I was younger to drink, but these days my wife and I enjoy a sit down dinners here. The fried Alligator, jambalaya, and turtle soup are some of our favorite dishes.

This is easily the worst managed restaurant in all of Chicagoland. They need a visit from Bar Rescue something fierce. Get Jon Taffer on the line, STAT!

I like this restaurant! They provide high quality food, their menu is decent, The chef in that spot is a real authority in the kitchen, I enjoy a lot tasting all their food. The food is always tasty, the attitude towards the visitors is good. I visit often this restaurant and I not even once was disappointed. I recommend it with no hesitation.

We enjoy going out. Yesterday we came to this excellent restaurant which friends told us about. We passed a delightful experience there with delicious meal and an efficient stuff and an impressive cuisine. We added this place in our phone list and we will definitely return very soon. We deeply recommend.

Their food is always good. But when you have to pick up your food and they tell you it's only going to take 30 minutes and it takes over an hour...this happens ALL the time. Very frustrating 👎

I tried to reach them by phone but they are forever busy.. so I place an order at the door at 5:20pm on a Sunday and she says 40 mins, fine. I get back to pick up my food and I had to be asked times what i am waiting for and my name! In between they tell me someone else is bringing it, then comes back and says it will be a couple mins, then come back say it’s still cooking and it will 10 more mins!! It’s now after six, I tell her I ordered this at 5:20 and she barely could get an apology out before walking away! It was almost an hour when this fiasco was over ! This is my first impression?? New customer.... SMH
